What is SubscribeCast?
SubscribeCast enables you to offer your Video or Audio content via a paid subscription Podcast format using the already established method of RSS syndication.

Who Can Use SubscribeCast?
Anyone who owns, or has the right to sell, media (i.e. video, audio, etc) that others would be willing to pay for can use SubscribeCast.  Subscription price is solely determined by you. 

What Software is required?
No additional software is required for you or your subscribers.  Subscribers use the same RSS reader that they would use for free podcast subscriptions (i.e. iTunes).  Since SubscribeCast technology is 100% web based, all your administrative tasks can be done online.

How can SubscribeCast help me if my podcast is ad supported?
With our patent-pending dynamic RSS generation technology and tracking technology, SubscribeCast can help you gather information from your audience, ranging from e-mail and geographical data to frequency of downloads. Using this data, you can give your advertisers a complete picture in terms of who is tuning in to your podcast.

Would my content be protected?
Yes and no.  We have technology which allows us to monitor the activity of a subscribers RSS address and can determine if, when, and how it is being abused.  Subscribers are warned not to share their unique RSS feed with the threat that their feed will be suspended according to the criteria we establish with you.  Protection of content after it is downloaded by a subscriber is not provided by us.  Digital Rights Media (DRM) software is something that clients might want to consider for further protecting their content from being distributed illegally.  In short, we protect the RSS feed from illegal distribution but not your content.

Do my subscribers need to own an Apple Ipod?
No.  As long as the content being delivered is in a standard format (.m4v, .mp3, .avi, .mpeg, etc) it can be played on the subscriber’s computer, burned to disc, or put onto a portable media player. 

How much does it cost?
Currently, there is no cost to partner with SubscribeCast.  There are no setup fees, statement fees, monthly minimums, or any other hidden fees.  SubscribeCast does not make money until you do.  To find out how much money you can make using SubscribeCast, visit our Rates page.
